Meet.

Te Whānau Doula

Te Whānau Doula was born out of my own journey as a māmā of three boys. I’ve been through the highs, lows, and everything in between when it comes to pregnancy, birth, and those early postpartum days. I started this because, during my own experiences, I felt there was something missing - someone to hold space for me, truly listen, and offer the kind of support that goes beyond medical appointments. I craved a safe place where I could feel seen and heard, without judgment.

At Te Whānau Doula, my mission is to be that person for you. I’m here to support you through every step, whether you're navigating pregnancy, planning for birth, or finding your feet in the early weeks with your newborn. I provide a mix of guidance, resources, and that all-important emotional support to help you feel empowered and informed.

Whether it’s your first or fifth baby, I’ll hold space for whatever you’re going through, so you can step into this journey feeling confident, cared for, and connected to what truly matters for you and your whānau. Let’s create a birthing experience that feels just right for you.

Te Whānau Doula – supporting Central Coast families with culturally connected prenatal and postpartum care

Meet.

Aleesha.

Kia ora, I’m Aleesha, Te Whānau Doula.

As an Australian and Māori māmā to three energetic boys, my life is beautifully chaotic, filled with dirt bikes and dreams of our own little farm. Becoming a mother has inspired me to learn more about my culture and the ancestral wisdom surrounding birth.

My training as an educator taught me the value of personalizing each experience, and my own birth stories taught me the power of intuition and informed choices. I’ve known what it’s like to feel unheard in the birth room, and my journey with my third birth showed me the power of having a village.

It's my calling now to support parents in reclaiming their birth journeys, guiding them to trust their intuition and create an experience that feels true to them. I’m here to provide families the kind of care that honors their voices, respects their choices, and nurtures their whānau.
